Decided to audio block the music so that I knew how long to make either happy/sad animation and where to transition it.

Also, this helped me know what clips I wanted where and what camera shots they were going to be. I made the music a little faster (it was 2:10, I made it 2:00) because it was a bit slow for the animation and just the video in general, I didn’t want to viewer to get bored easily.

For the abstract video, I removed the white background of the images in photoshop and edited the brightness, saturation, and contrast in all the photos making sure that the shapes of the painted were prominent. When making the video I experimented with depth meaning I used a lot of transition going to left to right and different blending modes so that the shapes of the paint would interact which each other. I also made the paintings at the back zoom in and out enhancing the depth in the animation so that when it is applied to the model’s body it will look unique and make the animation better.

These artworks (images above) inspired my paint animation because they had the visual effect of constant flow within paint and its colours, this was what I wanted my animation to have.
