With these contrasting shots, my original idea was to show the difference between life inside of the dome and outside.

I felt this idea did not emphasise the main focus of my project, which was how pollution had caused a division within society.

This is the final idea for the shot I intend to make. A high angle wide shot showing the division in the city. I feel this is better to the original idea because it blatantly shows the divided city. Having the city sceneries side by side as opposed to separate shots helps the audience notice the contrast and helps them understand what is happening.

I originally wanted people to walk along the pavement. To do this I wanted to use the compositing technique of crowd replication. After discussing with my teacher I found that this could prove difficult with the limited resource that is available to me right know.

An alternative for this idea was to have the people do different things, such as some could be talking, sitting down, walking around etc. This will make the shot more interesting and I could show the difference in personalities and emotions, in regards to which side of the city the people are on. I used the one-point perspective technique to draw all my thumbnail designs. This helped visualize the final shot better. To shoot my greenscreen I will have the camera high and pointed down at my subject so that the greenscreen angle will match the matte painting angle.
