ALEX: *Sign*

IFE: I don’t know if I can do this…

ALEX: do what?

IFE: THIS!

IFE: *Sign*…it’s just a shame it’s had to get to this stage…

IFE: I know this is going to be hard for you and believe me; it’s hard for me too. Let me start off by saying you were the best thing that ever happened to me, you’ve been there for me for as long as I can remember and for that I am so grateful. Looking back, I can truly call you my best friend. It’s just now we have to go our separate ways.

ALEX: Together we’ve created so many memories. Remember when you would wait for me by the school gate. Even though I had a rubbish day, you were always there to put a smile on my face.

IFE: Yeah I remember those good ol’ days; when we would race home just to play footie in my backyard! You were always so fast! I nicknamed you the Gold Lighting because of it!

ALEX: From then I just knew that no one could ever put a smile on my face like you could.  It’s funny cause we had this amazing connection from a young age but we were complete opposites.

IFE: I was always so neat and organised, whereas you? You thought everything was a joke, you played too much! Like that time when I was studying for an exam and all you wanted to do was eat, watch TV and sleep!

All I ever asked was for you to be serious just for one second and you couldn’t do that.

IFE: From an outside perspective we shouldn’t have worked…but we did. I guess the saying; “Opposites Attract” is true.

ALEX: Aside from our differences, I suppose all I can say now is thank you. Thank you all the times you joined me for dinner. For all the times you kept me company during the cold winter.

ALEX: I remember all our Friday nights in, just us chilling. Like that time when we attempted to watch every single Superman movie known to man!

IFE: For someone called the Gold Lighting you sure were pretty quick to fall asleep! Within the first 30 minutes, you were gone!

ALEX: I’m especially grateful for all the times we spent at Mount Quest. When we would drive my old rusty car, up that bumpy and crumbling hill, just to watch the evening sunset.

IFE: To be honest the sunset wasn’t even that great!

ALEX: You’re right, it wasn’t. I just simply enjoyed being around you, in a quiet and peaceful place. Something so simple meant so much to me.  I guess we’ll never have that again.

ALEX: Most of all, I’m grateful for you. I don’t regret any of the time we spent together. I will always think so highly of you. You are the definition of a best friend.

IFE: You’ve shown me love like no other.

ALEX: Listened to me when no one would

IFE: And gave me a type of joy and happiness I’ve never experienced before in my life.

ALEX: We always used to tell each other, that nothing in this whole wide world was too big or too hard for us to handle, together. I suppose we’ve now met our match.

IFE: It’s truly sad when the one who gave you the best memories, becomes a memory. I really don’t want to let you go

ALEX: Neither do I but it has to be done.

IFE: I love you…I love you so much

ALEX: I do too

IFE: What scares me the most is that I’m going to spend the rest of my life chasing the love and care you showed me for so long

ALEX: I know, I feel the same way. I can’t imagine my life without you

IFE: Well, that being said, you’ll truly be missed Alfie. Thank you for all the great memories we’ve had together. I’m never going to forget you, my Gold Lighting.
