Brief 3 – Research (Barthes)

The image above is from a section in a book called, ‘The Fundamentals of Photography’ by David Prakel (2010)

The section above really stood out to me because I had not fully explained why I decided to included certain elements into the advert.

I included paint splashes because I wanted to portray a creative and colourful aspect to the advert through the use of paint.  I specifically chose paint splashes because it represents freedom.

I included numbers and ‘made up’ facts representing sales and testimonials to make the advert stand out.
