HEALTHY LIVING – FINAL VIDEO

After reviewing my 3rd draft, I knew that the message of a healthy lifestyle wasn’t being portrayed through the title sequence as I wanted to. This was because the video didn’t give the audience a glimpse as to what might be in the documentary or what it is about. I just had vector fruits overlaying each other coming together to spell the word ‘health’.

There is a big difference between the word ‘HEALTH’ and ‘HEALTHY’

Health means – the state of being free from illness or injury.

Healthy means – in a good physical or mental condition.

The documentary focuses on the physical aspect of having a healthy lifestyle not necessarily only through fruit and veg. I got caught up in the abstract idea that I lost track of what the brief said.

The brief said HEALTHY lifestyles so I wanted to include that word in the title of the documentary.

Looking at the brief, there was a clue as to what was going to be in the documentary. Such as outdoor activities, gym, etc

Such as, fitness equipment, gyms, outdoor activities, etc.

The improvements I made, were.

• Came up with a new name for the documentary called ‘Let’s be healthy’ – the meaning behind the title is that it is encouraging the audience in the sense that they are not alone and that we are all going to get healthy together.

• Added keywords from the brief that will give the audience a glimpse as to what is going to be in the documentary

I still kept the fruits because healthy eating is important for having a healthy lifestyle, I just had to include exercise into the video. without further ado, here is my improved and final video, enjoy!  🙂

I made the animation of the walking legs and the bicycle in Illustrator and After Effects.

Overall, I am very happy with this new and improved version of my video. I believe it achieved what i was aiming for, a video that tells the audience straight way what the documentary was going to be about. I still stuck to my theme of having bright colours and cheerful music as well as a hint of abstract in the video.
