Here is my final video for the CineSpace brief.
For this brief, I aimed my project at a younger audience, mainly for children in primary school that are just starting to learn about space and the solar system, whilst using an influential person to educate them.
Below is the video 🙂
I made some changes from my 2nd draft, such as the positioning of Mae. I decided to keep Mae on the right side of the frame in each scene so that each scene was connected visually.
I also decided to record a voiceover only because it was the most effective way of getting the information across to the audience as opposed to speech bubbles, like how I did in my first draft.
I improved Mae’s features such as her face and hands. Her face in the previous draft looked to cartoony, although at first that was the look I was going for because my target audience is kids, but I felt it looked unprofessional and I knew I could do better, so I changed he eyes to give her detail and make her face look a bit more natural and human.
Her hands from the previous draft were looking like stumps because I was using the CrashCourse characters as a reference for my own. I didn’t like how it looked in my animation so I gave Mae hands with fingers.
