I used C4D to make the terrain because I liked how it showed the low poly effect better than in Unity. Using the landscape object I as able to adjust the height, width and sharpness of the mountains to my desire. I made the Lydon building integrated with its surrounds because I felt that would look better than an ordinary rectangle as a building.

Using the brush tool I was able to sculpt the terrain by increasing the hills and lowering the ground making space for the water. For the water, I gave it a fresnel reflectivity of 1.33 so that it would look like real water. I intend to animate this in unity.

To create the bridge I used cubes and scaled them down to look like wooden panels, I also gave them a random translation and rotation so that it wouldn’t look artificial and uniform. This helped give the bridge a rustic and authentic look, which was what I wanted.

I created the 2 different types of trees and a house using various objects and tools in C4D. The video tutorial below helped with that.

For the house, when I was making the door frame it was not looking how it was in the tutorial, therefore, I made it wavy by reducing the poly count give the house a unique and somewhat futuristic look.

On the terrain was done, I saved it as an FBX and imported it into Unity. I download a lot of free assets of trees, rocks and other low poly objects that I wanted to put in my scene. The terrain I split into two parts, the bridge is what connects them together, I wanted both sides of the terrain to look different in terms of trees, colours scheme etc. The bridge is where the transit happens, putting the rocky arch emphasise this idea to the player.

OVERALL

Make this final terrain was a success, I want able to put my ideas into this well and developed my skill in modelling using C4D more.
